Frequently Asked Questions
How do I play?
Every puzzle hides a five-letter word drawn from Scripture. You have seven tries. With each guess the tiles are dyed: STONE means the letter is not in the word, BLUE means it belongs somewhere else in the word, and PURPLE means it stands exactly where it belongs. Solve the puzzle and the verse it came from opens, along with the original Hebrew or Greek word and its meaning.
What is the Remez?
If you reach your last try, you may unseal a Remez — a hint that shows the verse around the hidden word. Unsealing costs a scroll or a short rewarded ad.
Do I need an account?
No — you can walk as a guest with full access and no personal information at all. Signing in with Google, Facebook, or Apple simply keeps your statistics if you change phones.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Delete Account. Or email us and we will delete it for you.
Which Bible translation is used?
All verse text is from the Berean Standard Bible (BSB), which is in the public domain.
What do purchases and ads do?
Verselah shows an occasional ad between puzzles. Sabbath Rest, a one-time purchase, removes those ads forever. Scroll packs unseal Remez hints without watching an ad. Nothing in the game is locked behind payment.
